Legalities

Due to laws introduced in the UK there are limits as to the amount of light that must pass through certain windows.  The windscreen must allow a minimum of 75% light through it whilst the front side windows must allow 70% light through it to be legally driven on the public highway.

The rear windows are not affected by this law, where no rules currently apply.  Some vehicles may be excessively tinted to give a dramatic effect but this is purely for show-use only and common among young enthusiasts.  We at Tamworth Tints do not recommend having excessively tinted windows as this could invalidate your insurance and carries an endorsable fixed penalty aswell as being dangerous to yourself and other road-users.
